Why is it that the world of TV is still dominated by Neilson Nielson?
CBS is canceling a family friendly show due to “low ratings.” In an incredibly sharp bit of marketing advocacy; a nut company “Nuts Online” has created been swept up in a campaign to send nuts to CBS to display backing for the show, Jericho.
The vast majority of us subscribe to cable or satellite. It would be easy to track what we are watching. I have never understood why cable operators don’t sell that info. Yes. lots of people would complain about the privacy “invasion”. However, a cable company would not need to divulge who you are, just your demos and viewing.
Heck TiVo could do this as well. I believe they are doing something similar with regards to ads. Time to get into this century TV folks.

Actually, Jeff at nutsonline has been amazing in this fight, but he really was taken by surprise. He wasn’t involved in the campaign in the beginning. He just noticed that his company was getting hundreds of orders for nuts all headed to CBS. He looked into the SAVE JERICHO campaign and he offered his help. He has been incredible and is working overtime for this effort. Yes, he will get tremendous publicity and thousands of new customers, but he has earned all of this and more.
