Another murder maybe due to our border policy.
CHULA VISTA, Calif. — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in Chula Vista while at a home to watch the Oscar de la Hoya-Floyd Mayweather boxing match on TV, according to police.
Kevin Jacob Olvera of Chula Vista was shot in the head just after 1 a.m. at a home on G Street, said Lt. Tro Peltekian of the Chula Vista Police Department.
Benito Guerrero, 18, was being sought in connection with the shooting, he said.
“It’s early in the investigation, but the benefit is we know who the suspect is,’ Petelkian said.
Grieving family members told broadcast stations that Olvera did not deserve to die.
According to the stations, Olvera and some friends met at a home to watch the boxing match when some uninvited guests began harassing women who were also there.
Olvera asked the unwelcome guests to leave, and that’s when he was shot in the head, 10News reported.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the CVPD’s Homicide Unit at 619-691-5202.
One report last night said that the “men” were trying to get the women to take off their clothes for money and that Olvera was defending them. Olvera was shot in the head, after the gunman came from “nowhere” according to Overa’s best friend. Olvera had been an Explorer for the Border Patrol.
On one news cast they said that the suspect fled in a car with MEXICO plates, and they showed what appears to be his green card on television. Note I said ONLY ONE. Hmm.

KUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSI has video. What disturbs me most about this video is the host, the dead man’s “best friend” is surprisingly composed and claims to have never seen the shooter before. What I don’t get is why these “unknown” people were at the party.
So these questions remain: 1. how did they get his ID? 2. Was he here legally? 3. Was it one of those Counselar Matricula cards? 3. Why is the media leaving out details on this story? 4. Why are the local outlets not asking these questions?

Actually, his friend and all of us are devastated. He was my little cousin. Man left passport in attempts to flee. Please send to as many in hopes to have him arrested. We laid Kevin to rest yesterday with a crowd of over 200 people. He was a hero in many eyes as well as the happiest, friendliest young man anyone came across. He will be missed.

I actually knew Kevin and was friends with him. He was such a good person. He looked out for me. I miss him tons, & I hope the guy that did this to him gets what he deserves.

Benito actually went to my high school, Bonita Vista High School, for at least a year. I never really knew him or heard of him until the shooting, but some of my friends had classes with him before. If he was here in Chula Vista for school, he probably wasn’t here illegally… I heard he lived here as well.
It doesn’t by any means make the murder any less horrible; I just want to point out that you might be jumping to conclusions by saying he’s an illegal.
However, from hearsay, I’ve heard his father is very rich and owns a bunch of clubs in TJ, which unfortunately means he’s practically untouchable if he’s fled there.

In El Paso, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, Laredo, McAllen, and Brownsville kids walk across the border everyday to go to schools that they have no right to go to. No doubt some in schools here do the same.
The fact that he fled to Mexico, tells me that is his home; NOT AMERICA.
